Galatasaray won the title, their 23rd league championship, under coach Okan Buruk. Fenerbahçe finished second, and Beşiktaş came in third.
The top scorer was Enner Valencia (Fenerbahçe) with 29 goals.
Newly promoted teams Ankaragücü, Ümraniyespor and İstanbulspor replaced Çaykur Rizespor, Altay, Göztepe and Yeni Malatyaspor, who were relegated.
This season was notable for Galatasaray’s strong finish under Buruk.
