Beşiktaş won the title, their 11th league championship, under coach Mircea Lucescu. Galatasaray finished second, and Gençlerbirliği came in third.
The top scorer was Okan Yılmaz (Bursaspor) with 24 goals.
Promoted teams Altay SK, Adanaspor and Elazığspor replaced Çaykur Rizespor, Antalyaspor and Yimpaş Yozgatspor, who were relegated.
This season marked Beşiktaş’s return to the top after a six-year gap.
