The season was declared void due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with no champion crowned. Ajax was leading the table when the league was suspended.
The top scorers were Steven Berghuis (Feyenoord) and Cyriel Dessers (Heracles Almelo) with 15 goals.
Newly promoted teams Twente, RKC Waalwijk and Sparta Rotterdam replaced NAC Breda, Excelsior and De Graafschap, who were relegated.
This season was unprecedented, as it was the first time the Eredivisie was canceled without a champion.
