The top scorer was Vincent Janssen (AZ Alkmaar) with 27 goals.
Promoted teams, Roda JC, NEC Nijmegen and De Graafschap replaced NAC, Go Ahead Eagles and FC Dordrecht, who were relegated.
This season was significant for Janssen’s emergence as a top striker.
