PSV Eindhoven claimed their 21st title, coached by Sef Vergoossen. Ajax finished second, and NAC Breda took third.
The top scorer was Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Ajax) with 33 goals.
Promoted teams VVV-Venlo and De Graafschap replaced ADO Den Haag and RKC Waalwijk, who were relegated.
This season marked Huntelaar’s continued dominance as one of the league’s best strikers.
