Juventus clinched the Serie A title in the 2019/2020 season, securing their 36th Italian top division championship under the management of Maurizio Sarri. Internazionale finished as runners-up, while Atalanta secured third place.
The top scorer of the season was Ciro Immobile of Lazio, who netted 36 goals.
The newly promoted teams this season were Lecce, Brescia, and Hellas Verona. Relegated from the previous season were Empoli, Chievo, and Frosinone, who did not participate in the 2019/2020 campaign.
