Juventus clinched the Serie A title in the 2015/2016 season, securing their 32nd Italian top division championship under the management of Massimiliano Allegri. Napoli finished second, while AS Roma secured third place.
The top scorer of the season was Gonzalo Higuaín of Napoli, who scored 36 goals.
The newly promoted teams this season were Carpi, Frosinone, and Bologna. Relegated from the previous season were Cesena, Parma and Cagliari, who did not participate in the 2015/2016 campaign.
