Juventus secured the Serie A title in the 2014/2015 season, claiming their 31st Italian top division championship under the management of Massimiliano Allegri. AS Roma finished second, while Lazio secured third place.
The top scorers of the season were Mauro Icardi of Internazionale and Luca Toni of Hellas Verona, with both 22 goals.
The newly promoted teams this season were Empoli, Cesena, and Palermo. Relegated from the previous season were Catania, Bologna and Livorno, who did not participate in the 2014/2015 campaign.
