Bayern Munich secured the Bundesliga title in the 2016/2017 season, claiming their 27th German top division championship under the management of Carlo Ancelotti. RB Leipzig finished as runners-up, while Borussia Dortmund secured third place.
The top scorer of the season was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Borussia Dortmund, who netted 31 goals.
The newly promoted teams this season were SC Freiburg and RB Leipzig, who replaced VfB Stuttgart and Hannover 96 that were relegated.
