Bayern Munich secured the Bundesliga title in the 2014/2015 season, claiming their 25th German top division championship under the management of Pep Guardiola. VfL Wolfsburg finished as runners-up, while Borussia Mönchengladbach secured third place.
The top scorer of the season was Alexander Meier of Eintracht Frankfurt, who netted 19 goals.
The newly promoted teams this season were FC Köln and SC Paderborn. Relegated from the previous season were Eintracht Braunschweig and 1. FC Nürnberg, who did not participate in the 2014/2015 campaign.
