Season Recap
Bayern Munich clinched the Bundesliga title in the 2012/2013 season, securing their 23rd German top division championship under the management of Jupp Heynckes. Borussia Dortmund finished as runners-up, while Bayer Leverkusen secured third place.
The top scorer of the season was Stefan Kießling of Bayer Leverkusen, who netted 25 goals.
The newly promoted teams this season were Fortuna Düsseldorf, 1. FC Köln and 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Relegated from the previous season were Hertha BSC, SpVgg Greuther Fürth and Eintracht Frankfurt, who did not participate in the 2012/2013 campaign.
