Borussia Dortmund clinched the Bundesliga title in the 2010/2011 season, securing their 7th German top division championship under the management of Jürgen Klopp. Bayer Leverkusen finished as runners-up, while Bayern Munich secured third place.
The top scorer of the season was Mario Gomez of Bayern Munich, who netted 28 goals.
The newly promoted teams this season were 1. FC Kaiserslautern and FC St. Pauli. Relegated from the previous season were VfL Bochum and Hertha BSC, who did not participate in the 2010/2011 campaign.
