Season Recap
Bayern Munich secured the Bundesliga title in the 2007/2008 season, claiming their 21st German top division championship under the management of Ottmar Hitzfeld. Werder Bremen finished as runners-up, while Schalke 04 secured third place.
The top scorer of the season was Luca Toni of Bayern Munich, who netted 24 goals.
The newly promoted teams this season were Karlsruher SC, Hansa Rostock and MSV Duisburg. Relegated from the previous season were Mainz 05, Alemannia Aachen and Borussia Mönchengladbach, who did not participate in the 2007/2008 campaign.
