Season Recap
Bayern Munich secured the Bundesliga title in the 2005/2006 season, claiming their 20th German top division championship under the management of Felix Magath. Werder Bremen finished as runners-up, while Hamburger SV secured third place.
The top scorer of the season was Miroslav Klose of Werder Bremen, who netted 25 goals.
The newly promoted teams this season were 1. FC Köln, MSV Duisburg and Eintracht Frankfurt. Relegated from the previous season were VfL Bochum, Hansa Rostock and SC Freiburg, who did not participate in the 2005/2006 campaign.
