Season Recap
Bayern Munich secured the Bundesliga title in the 2004/2005 season, claiming their 19th German top division championship under the management of Felix Magath. Schalke 04 finished as runners-up, while Werder Bremen secured third place.
The top scorer of the season was Marek Mintál of Nürnberg, who netted 24 goals.
The newly promoted teams this season were 11. FC Nürnberg, Arminia Bielefeld and 1. FSV Mainz 05. Relegated from the previous season were Eintracht Frankfurt, 1. FC Köln and 1860 Munich, who did not participate in the 2004/2005 campaign.
