Season Recap

Werder Bremen clinched the Bundesliga title in the 2003/2004 season, securing their 3rd German top division championship under the management of Thomas Schaaf. Bayern Munich finished as runners-up, while Bayer Leverkusen secured third place.

The top scorer of the season was Ailton of Werder Bremen, who netted 28 goals.

The newly promoted teams this season were SC Freiburg, 1. FC Köln and Eintracht Frankfurt. Relegated from the previous season were Arminia Bielefeld, 1. FC Nürnberg and Energie Cottbus, who did not participate in the 2003/2004 campaign.
