Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint-Germain was the top scorer with 33 goals.
Two teams joined Ligue 1 this season: Reims and Nîmes, both promoted from Ligue 2. On the other hand, Troyes and Metz were relegated after failing to maintain their top-flight status.
Mbappé’s 33-goal season was a standout performance, as he became the first French player to win the Ligue 1 top scorer award since 2008.
