Zlatan Ibrahimović of Paris Saint-Germain was the top scorer with 38 goals.
This season saw the arrival of three new teams: Angers, GFC Ajaccio, and Troyes, who earned promotion from Ligue 2. Meanwhile, Lens, Metz and Evian were relegated after struggling in the previous campaign.
Ibrahimović’s 38-goal season set a new Ligue 1 record, as he dominated the league in his final season with PSG before moving to Manchester United.
