Arsenal claimed the Premier League title under the guidance of Arsène Wenger, finishing ahead of Liverpool in second and Manchester United in third.

Newly promoted teams included Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, and Fulham, while Manchester City, Coventry City, and Bradford City were relegated the previous season.
An interesting fact: Arsenal completed the season without a single away loss, earning the nickname “The Invincibles” in the process.
