Lille won their 4th Ligue 1 title under manager Christophe Galtier, with Paris Saint-Germain finishing second and Monaco in third.
Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint-Germain was the top scorer with 27 goals.
Two teams joined Ligue 1 this season: Lorient and Lens, all promoted from Ligue 2. On the other hand, Amiens and Toulouse were relegated after failing to maintain their top-flight status.
Lille’s title win was a remarkable achievement, as they ended PSG’s dominance with a team built on a solid defense and the attacking prowess of Jonathan David and Burak Yılmaz.
