Bayern Munich triumphed in the 2017/2018 season, clinching their 28th Bundesliga title under the management of Jupp Heynckes. Borussia Dortmund finished as runners-up, while Hoffenheim rounded out the top three.
The top scorer of the campaign was Robert Lewandowski, who found the back of the net 29 times for Bayern Munich.
Newly promoted teams included VfB Stuttgart and Hannover 96. Relegated from the previous season were Darmstadt 98 and Ingolstadt, who were dropped from the top division.
