Ajax won their 29th title, with Ronald Koeman as coach. PSV Eindhoven finished second, and Feyenoord came in third.
Mateja Kežman (PSV) again led the scoring charts with 31 goals. Newly promoted
ADO Den Haag and FC Volendam replaced De Graafschap and Excelsior, who were relegated.
This season was significant for Ajax’s return to the top after a one-year gap.
