Lyon extended their run of success, winning their seventh consecutive Ligue 1 title in the 2007/2008 season, this time under Alain Perrin. Bordeaux finished as runners-up, while Marseille completed the top three.
Karim Benzema of Lyon finished as the league’s top scorer, scoring 20 goals.
The newly promoted teams included FC Metz, SM Caen and RC Strasbourg, while relegation saw teams like Sedan, Troyes, and Nantes drop out of the top flight.
