Season Recap
VfB Stuttgart secured the Bundesliga title in the 2006/2007 season, claiming their 5th German top division championship under the management of Armin Veh. Schalke 04 finished as runners-up, while Werder Bremen secured third place.
The top scorer of the season was Theofanis Gekas of VfL Bochum, who netted 20 goals.
The newly promoted teams this season were VfL Bochum, Alemannia Aachen and Energie Cottbus. Relegated from the previous season were 1. FC Kaiserslautern, 1. FC Köln and MSV Duisburg, who did not participate in the 2006/2007 campaign.
