Galatasaray won the title, their 21st league championship, under coach Fatih Terim. Fenerbahçe finished second, and İstanbul Başakşehir came in third.
The top scorer was Bafétimbi Gomis (Galatasaray) with 29 goals.
Newly promoted teams Sivasspor, Yeni Malatyaspor and Göztepe replaced Çaykur Rizespor, Gaziantepspor and Adanaspor, who were relegated.
This season was significant for Gomis’ incredible goal-scoring form.
