Beşiktaş won the title, their 13th league championship, under coach Şenol Güneş. Fenerbahçe finished second, and Konyaspor came in third.
The top scorer was Mario Gómez (Beşiktaş) with 26 goals.
Newly promoted teams Kayserispor, Osmanlıspor and Antalyaspor replaced Balıkesirspor, Karabükspor and Kayseri Erciyesspor, who were relegated.
This season was significant for Beşiktaş’s strong attacking play under Güneş.
